A Dreamy Noel Card!

Hello my crafty friends.  I hope you have great weekend.  We have had a lot of snow here  in Calgary Alberta, since last Friday!  It is finally sunny this morning and I am enjoying the sun.

I think I make better card when I am inspired by colours.  Today's card is one of the example.  The card is made mostly by blending ink colours.  I wanted a rainbow colour christmas tree with transparent white "bubbles" or "snow" on it.  I die cut the christmas tree out and used the sponge daubers (cause it is a very small area to blend) to blend the colours.  I did the background exactly the same way but added a layer of white shimmer to lighten the colours so that the colours of the christmas tree stands out more.  Finally I  decided to give the tree a little bit more dimension by die cutting more trees and stacked them and glue them together.

The christmas tree die is from Hampton Art - 6 pieces die and stamp set from last year.  I am sorry that I can't find a link to this set anymore but I am sure you can use other christmas tree die you have for this card.

The "snowy bubbles" were done using the lots of dots stamp set from Simon Says Stamp and white pigment inks.  The dots on the tree were done using Hero Arts white pigment ink cause the white stands out more, while the dots on the background were done using Tsuineko Brilliance Moonlight White cause it is a very light shade of white.  The "not very rounded" dots on the background is from accident from the white shimmer spritz.  I actually liked the accidents.  It makes the card more interesting :)

Thank you for stopping by.  I hope you have a wonderful day!
