A Shaker Tag Birthday Card

Hello my crafty friends.  I have a Shaker Tag Birthday card to share with you guys today.  This is a birthday card I made for my sister-in-law using the colours she likes.  If you wonder why there is a dog on the tag...she also has a very cute white terry too :)

I was experimenting using other inks with the blending tool.  I used Tsukineko's Memento Dew Drops for all the inking needs for this card.  The terry was coloured with Copic Markers.

The frame was made using the negative from a Mama Elephant's die.  I used all the purple and purplish colours, with a little bit of pink, in my Dew Drops collection and the ink blending tool to blend the colours on a piece of white card stock first.  I then die cut the frame out using Mama Elephant's All Prettied Up scalloped frame die, and as I mentioned before, I used the negative of the die cut for the frame.

I then did some more inking on the card base at where the tag and the sentiments would be to give the background some interest.

I also die cut the Wishing sentiment using Simon Says Stamp's Wishing die on a grey card stock.  I decided that the grey was too flat for the card design and with the blending tool and ink still out, I added some purple to the Wishing die cut piece.  I also lost the dots for the i's after die cutting!  So I decided to use stickle instead :)

Since the shaker areas are very small, sequins are to big for it,  I used only sparkles inside the shaker tag!

That is it, I hope you find today's card inspiring!  All the products I used are listed below.  Thank you for stopping by and have a super creative day :)
