Rainbow Card Challenge - A Rainbow Garden

Blog Hop

Hello, here is my Rainbow Garden card for the Rainbow Card Challenge.  My Copic skills have improved tremendously, thanks to the Copic Jumpstart Online Class from Sandy Allnock!  So I used Copics for this card...plus masking and some distress ink :)

I used two stamps from Stacey Yacula's Garden Blooms new release at Purple Onion Designs.  I've always loved Stacey's stamps and had been using them in my watercoloring journal.  Inspired by Sandy Allnock's YouTube video using the stamps from this release, I decided to make a super bright and colourful card using Stacey's stamps and Copic Markers.

Here is how I made this card.  I first masked off the sides with masking tape.  Then stamped the Garden Bushes, masked it and stamped the Garden Trees.  I then masked off all the trees and apply distress inks on the white space of the card using the blending tools to create the purplish sky/background.

Tips about creating the masks for all the trees; I stamped the images on post-it full adhesive notes first, and when I cut out the image to create the masks, I didn't cut it along the stamped lines, I left some space in between so that it will leave a white outline between the image and the background.

The "you are so wonderful" sentiment is also from Purple Onion Designs.  I stamped it with vesamark and embossed it with white embossing powder!

All the trees and the grass are coloured using Copic Markers (they are on sale at Ellen Hutson).

All the other products I used are linked below.  Thank you for hopping by!   I hope you enjoyed my Rainbow Garden card!  Your next stop is Sybrina K.
